We are excited to announce three FACET members who have been honored for their achievements.
Rob Elliott and Carolyn Schult have each received the 2020 President’s Award for Distinguished Teaching. The President's Award for Teaching was established in 1974 to recognize outstanding teaching, research or service. As a distinguished teaching award, it serves to honor the most exceptional faculty, their devotion to students, and their strong commitment to the university's fundamental missions of excellence in education and research.
Rob Elliott is a Senior Lecturer of Computer and Information Technology, and campus co-liaison at IUPUI. He also runs the Global IT Study Abroad program at IUPUI, where they offer opportunities for students to study abroad in China and India. Prior to coming to Indiana University, he was a lead developer for Red Cross Online Training with the American Red Cross of Greater Indianapolis, and was also the Director of Multimedia Development at Willow Marketing.
Carolyn Schult is a Professor of Psychology at Indiana University South Bend. She is also a Developmental Psychologist that specializes in the research of children and their cognitive development, and holds the Director position for the University Center for Excellence in Teaching.
Keith Anliker received the 2020 President’s Award for Excellence in Teaching and Learning Technology. The President’s Award for Excellence in Teaching and Learning Technology was established in 2013 to honor highly innovative faculty members who have contributed to the enhancement of their students through the sustained and innovative use of technology.
Keith is a Senior Lecture and the Director of Laboratory and Curriculum Support for the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at IUPUI. He also a member of the FACET Statewide Steering Committee and FALCON Planning Committee. Not only is he an expert in chemical education, but also in public outreach. He hopes to utilize emerging and innovative technologies in the classroom.
