FACET Members Honored for their Achievements
Ange Cooksey received the 2019 President’s Award for Distinguished Teaching. The President's Award for Teaching was established in 1974 to recognize outstanding teaching, research or service. As a distinguished teaching award, it serves to honor the most exceptional faculty, their devotion to students, and their strong commitment to the university's fundamental missions of excellence in education and research.
Mary Ange Cooksey is a Senior Lecturer of Humanities at Indiana University East. Her teaching and research focuses on biomedical ethics, death and dying, and the scholarship of teaching and learning. Prior to coming to Indiana University, she was a lecturer at Ball State University, where she also served as the Coordinator for Freshman Year Experiences in its honors college.
Tin-Chun Lin received the Herman Frederic Lieber Award. Established in 1961, this teaching award was first sponsored by the IU Foundation and is now sponsored by Mrs. Herman Lieber of Indianapolis.
Tin-Chun Lin is a Professor of Economics at Indiana University Northwest. His research focuses on economics education, growth and development, and monetary policies. Dr. Lin remains active in his field as an editor of numerous academic journals and serves as Editor-in-Chief for both the International Journal of Economic Issues and the Asian Journal of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. He also serves as the Senior Director of Economics for the Indiana Academy of Social Sciences Association. Dr. Lin is a member of the American Economic Association, the Western Economic Association, and the Southern Economic Association.
