There are many ways to be involved in the FACET Leadership and the community. We are actively seeking the following positions as part of our organizational restructuring. Additionally, we have opportunities to serve on one of our vital committees. If you are interested in any of these opportunities or have questions, please contact facet@iu.edu.
Committees
Retreat planning is a low pressure way to get involved in FACET when you are a recently-inducted member. Working with colleagues from each FACET campus, you help plan the retreat theme and types of sessions, jointly draft a call for proposals (if having a call fits the theme), generally plan events at the retreat, including identifying the Bender Memorial Lecturer, and participate as a community builder and facilitator at the retreat itself. Planning usually requires four meetings held virtually and intermittent communication via email.
The planning for the 2027 retreat will begin in Fall 2026, please let us know if you are interested in the 2026 retreat.
The Leadership Institute Planning Committee will soon begin preparations for the next cycle. Please contact your campus associate directors if you're interested in joining.
We will soon seek volunteers for the 2027 FALCON Planning Committee. Please contact facet@iu.edu if you are interested in learning more.
