Michael Morrone Service Award

The Michael Morrone Award for Service to FACET honors FACET members whose commitment, leadership, and service have significantly strengthened the FACET community. Recipients contribute in ways that deepen collaboration, engage in FACET programs, and advance teaching excellence across Indiana University.

The inaugural award was named in honor of Michael Morrone, whose service, vision, and dedication have significantly shaped FACET’s identity and impact.

Nomination and Selection

FACET accepts nominations for this award each spring through March 31. Nominators—who must be FACET members— should submit a letter (up to four pages) documenting the nominee’s service and contributions to FACET. Optional supporting materials may be included as an appendix, such as artifacts, testimonials, or evidence of program involvement. The nominee's curriculum vitae is required. Self-nominations are not accepted.

The letter of nomination and CV should be emailed to facet@iu.edu by March 31. The FACET Executive Committee will review nominations and select the recipient. The award will be presented at the FACET Annual Retreat. If the recipient is not able to attend the retreat, the nominator may accept it on their behalf.
