FACET recognizes educators who demonstrate excellence in teaching, student learning, and educational leadership. Members are selected based on their commitment to effective teaching, ongoing professional growth, support of colleagues, advocacy for teaching and learning, contributions to the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) and other evidence-based practices, and active engagement in the FACET community.
Pathways to Membership
There are three pathways to becoming a FACET member:
- Nomination and Application Process for eligible faculty members.
- Invitation following a President's Teaching Award for recipients of designated university teaching awards.
- Affiliate Membership for eligible non-faculty professionals and Purdue University Fort Wayne faculty.
New members are formally inducted into the FACET community during the Induction Ceremony at the annual FACET Retreat.
