FACET's podcast, "Transformative Teaching: A FACET at IU Podcast" features recently inducted members, as well as long-time members. Each episode focuses on the guest's teaching journey, from the things they love about teaching to things that wake them up in the middle of the night during the semester. Has a particular article had an incredible impact in your classroom? Has an article brought you new excitement about preparing to teach? Have you learned something that led to a small tweak or large course revision that made a meaningful difference?
Now, you have an opportunity to share those stories through FACET’s Transformative Teaching - SoTL Share, where higher education instructors bring pedagogical research to life. Through this Podcast, guests share how a particular article transformed some aspect of their teaching or their students’ learning. This can be accomplished in two ways:
- Invite a guest and exchange your stories and articles. FACET will provide conversation starters and a process for recording and sharing your conversation.
- Schedule a session to participate in a Podcast where you discuss an article with either Kathy Berlin, FACET’s SoTL and Mack Center Director, or Michael Morrone, the Executive Director.
The vision of SoTL Share is to allow instructors to publicly discuss pedagogical research that meaningfully impacted their teaching and student learning. It is envisioned as a collection of higher education instructors sharing an article from the scholarship of teaching and learning, or discipline-based pedagogical research.
