There are many ways to be involved in the FACET Leadership and the community. We are actively seeking the following positions as part of our organizational restructuring. Additionally, we have opportunities to serve on one of our vital committees. If you are interested in any of these opportunities or have questions, please contact facet@iu.edu.
Committees
We are seeking one member from each campus to serve on the Retreat 2024 Planning Committee. Retreat planning is a low pressure way to get involved in FACET when you are a recently-inducted member. Working with colleagues from each FACET campus, you help plan the retreat theme and types of sessions, jointly draft a call for proposals (if having a call fits the theme), generally plan events at the retreat, including identifying the Bender Memorial Lecturer, and participate as a community builder and facilitator at the retreat itself.
Planning usually requires four meetings held virtually and intermittent communication via email.
The Leadership Institute Planning Committee is in the beginning stage of planning. They will be reaching out to campuses interested in forming teams. Teams may consist of four to six full-time faculty members with at least half being FACET members. Each campus will also need a team leader.
The planning for FALCON 2023 is underway. However, we are seeking committee members for the 2024 event.
