FACET Affiliate Member

From its inception until this year FACET Affiliate Membership was a way to recognize non-faculty friends of FACET and include them in the FACET community. These early Affiliate Members performed service, over an extended period, actualizing FACET’s values and helping many others actualize FACET’s values. Those first recognized with Affiliate Membership include P.A. Mack, Harvey Bender, and Terri Tarr.

As of academic year 2025-2026, there will be two paths for Affiliate Membership:

  1. A FACET member can nominate a non-faculty member who has performed extensive service over an extended period of time in support of teaching and learning that actualizes and advances FACET’s values. The service must be at least at the campus level. Service activities need not be limited to FACET campuses, but the contributions cited in the nomination letter must include service to a FACET campus.
  2. A Purdue Fort Wayne FACET member or affiliate member can nominate a PFW faculty member who has achieved a record of teaching excellence. The campus may develop processes and guidelines for who will be nominated.
