Michael Morrone, director, interviews Katie Metz, Statewide Selection Committee chairperson, on FACET's new podcast, "Transformative Teaching: A FACET at IU Podcast." The podcast will feature recently inducted members, as well as long-time members. Each episode will focus on the guest's teaching journey, from the things they love about teaching to things that wake them up in the middle of the night during the semester. The conversations will provide listeners with an introduction to the excellence of our FACET member guests and highlights of their teaching.
In our first episode, Morrone sits down with Metz (FACET class of 2018), a senior lecturer in accounting at IU Bloomington, to discuss her approach to teaching, how her classrooms have changed over the years, and what motivates her to continue to learn and grow in her profession. Tune in to hear their conversation about blended learning, professional growth, and ways to stay current in a constantly changing field - plus a surprise plot twist at the end!
New episodes will be released biweekly on all podcasting outlets (SoundCloud, Apple, Spotify, etc). If you would like to be interviewed on the podcast, please contact the FACET office.
