Chris is a native of Columbus, IN, graduating from Columbus North High school. Afterreceiving her undergraduate degree in mathematics from the University of North Dakota, shebegan her career as a classroom teacher before returning to Indiana University Bloomington tocomplete both a Master's and a Ph.D. degree. At IUB, she worked as a mathematics contentspecialist at the Center for Innovation in Assessment where she collaborated with the IndianaDepartment of Education on the creation of the state's mathematics academic standards andsupporting resources. During the 2006-07 academic year, Chris served as a visiting professor atIUPUI's School of Education. In the fall of 2007, she began her work at IUPUC where sheteaches in the Elementary Teacher Education program. Chris' research focus is secondaryanalysis of mathematics results from the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP).She currently serves as co-Principal Investigator on a NAEP secondary analysis grant funded bythe National Science Foundation and housed at IU Bloomington.
